United 837 between SFO and NRT
I’m only blogging because, in spite the fact that I paid 700 plus to sit in business class from San Francisco to Tokyo, some idiot that believes in populating the world purchased himself, his wife and their 5 kids, all of which are under 12 years old seats here as well. Congrats on the fam, man, and more power to your penis, but please in the future, keep you and your brood back in coach where you all belong. I’m not trying to be elitist here, but good lord, you and your wife are passed out (I can see why) and your 3 year seems to like dropping the tray back into it’s slot, over and over again.
Yesterday was a good day. Jeff talked to Mike and Tina and the rent on their place will be $1900 per month, which we can afford. Jeff is going to email me the lease so I can sign it and return. Then we give notice to Dan and get the heck out of Escondido. Not that I’m not happy, but the travel back and forth from San Diego to home was getting me down. The pool was great and it was good to get the place cleaned and back up to snuff, but alas, the combination of distance and then my lack of a warm and fuzzy feeling from Dan finally got me dreaming of the Morey’s house again. I’ll miss the pool and Jacuzzi. Now, it’s just a matter of money.
Well this post starts my 3 week road trip to Asia, with stops in Okinawa, Sasebo and Singapore for NAVFAC. I love working this angle of the job, getting down into the trenches, working one and one and in group and then applying the lessons to real world scenarios. I do love the “fixing of things”, but developing a solution for someone is much more gratifying.
